[ OVERVEIW ] IELTS Writing 개념 및 체크사항

IELTS란 ? International English Language Testing System  
Cambridge ESOL, British Council, IDP(IELTS Austrailia)에서 공동 개발, 관리, 주관하는 시험.

Band 1~9 까지 0.5단위 구분. 

Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking 각 Band 평균값인 Overall Band 산출. 

Module은 Academic, General 두가지이며, Listening과 Speaking은 공통.

1. Writing Task -> Achivement, Response -> Check : Coherence, Cohesion. 

Check :
1. Coherence : Sentence Structure, Topic Sentence, Summary
2. Cohesion :Transitional Words, Conjunctions, Pronouns, Possessive Adjective, 
3. Rexical Resource
4. Grammatical Range and Accuracy

As emerging scholars, perfecting the craft of writing is an essential component of developing as graduate students, and yet resources for honing these skills are largely under utilized.

Larry McEnerney, Director of the University of Chicago's Writing Program, led this session in an effort to communicate helpful rules, skills, and resources that are available to graduate students interested in further developing their writing style.
